The project includes a double aim: the final environmental recovery and the preparation for the controlled storage of non-hazardous waste into a site that was previously destined to the extraction of quartz. The available volume for the waste storage in the tank is about 1.600.000 m3. The annual value of waste input is equal to 200000 tons, and so the plant scheduled duration is 9 years and 4 months, taking into account the times for the realization of the initial tank and for completion of environmental recovery.
