EDICINE AND SURGERY FACULTY LIBRARY
Torino 1992- 2001
The Library of the Biology Complex houses a collection of the last 10 years of books and other publications of the Institutes of Biochemistry, Pharmacology, General Pathology, Histology, Normal Human Anatomy, and Human Physiology.
Keywords for this restoration were Uncluttering, Respect, and Amelioration. The uncluttering was achieved by eliminating partitions and conduits that previously ran through the rooms, dividing and blocking space. The respect is evident in the restoration of the architectonic structure: pillars, arches, ribbed or crossed vaults, and in the net distinction of style and materials of the required additions: partitions, flooring, fittings, etc. The amelioration was achieved by adopting modern construction elements and technologic systems to make the entire space more functional in compliance with the most recent regulations.
